Today, I was again happy to learn another image will lend itself towards creating a soothing environment for those in need of medical care.
My image simply titled Viceroy will be sent this week to hang in the RiverBend Medical Pavilion in Eugene, Oregon.
I hope to continue along this line of photography work, as I find it very personally satisfying to be involved in helping others while promoting beautiful images created from nature at the same time.
This image was taken at Grand River Park in Ottawa County.

I love the photo – how rewarding this must be for you to share your beauty with others who need a little more in their lives!
Beautiful image. I love butterflies. Although I believe that this particular one is actually a Viceroy not a Monarch. The Viceroy’s upperside is orange and black, resembling the Monarch, except the Viceroy has a black line across the hindwing and a single row of white dots in the black marginal band. http://www.butterfliesandmoths.org This is the site that I use to classify most of my butterflies with.
Sorry if I am overstepping my bounds here but I know if it was me I would want to know the correct info. It is still a gorgeous image either way.
Just stopping by to say hi and to tell you I live by the Grand River in Ferrysburg. nice photo.
