I am very sad to learn yesterday – the news of the tragic death of a young man I met in November at the National Geographic Adventurer of the Year ceremonies – Mr. Rob Gauntlett.

Russ and I only met him briefly, but were inspired by his spirit of adventure. Our thoughts go out to his family and friends during this difficult time.
