Today was one of the final steps in a re-branding project for the Cadillac Area Land Conservancy. The non-profit organization contacted me in late December of 2010 in need of a complete “makeover”, to include several brochures, a revision of their existing website and other items.
Working closely with their board members, we identified some of the key messages and critical areas that needed to be marketed to the public, particularly those who might be considering options of donating land for preservation.
A professional writer was brought into the project who had familiarity with the unique needs of both non-profit fund raising and nature conservancies. The images used in the materials was a blend of existing images of the area by local photographers, and a few of my own images were included.
The resulting brochures were printed on 100% recyclable Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) certified paper by Foremost Graphics in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
Their new website was organized to showcase important messages, and set up in WordPress for the ease of maintenance by Board members. The site makes use of social media tools to promote awareness through user interaction.
