The Edge of Isaac – Ludington State Park

A current work-in-progress – the “From the Shoresphotography collection features unique, new images captured not only from the Great Lakes – but from streams, rivers, inland lakes and may include important flora and fauna naturally found in these locations.

The showcase image was captured recently on Saturday, September 1st, 2012 at Ludington State Park. The unusual cloud formations were a result of the remnants of Hurricane Isaac, as the northern edge of the weather system passed over the Great Lakes.

In June 2012, Niedzwiecki served as an Artist-in-Residence at the Hill House – sponsored by ISLAND (the Institute for Sustainable Living and Natural Design). Since the residency was located in the East Jordan / Bellaire, Michigan area – the central location offered Niedzwiecki close proximity to many waterways. During the twelve-day residency (and throughout the summer months), she extensively concentrated on seeking unique perspectives and objects discovered literally “from the water’s edge.”
