Officially – my venue is Immanuel Lutheran Church in the Hill area of Grand Rapids.

It’s the large, beautiful Gothic church located at the corner of Michigan and Division – next to VanAndel Institute. Most anyone coming into Grand Rapids can see the church high on the hill, now in the shadows of the buildings coming up in the Medical Mile district. The present sanctuary was dedicated in 1890.

At the time of this blog post – there were about 20 artists being hosted at Immanuel. The number of entries you could enjoy here during ArtPrize 2010 may even be greater by July 1 – when all venue/artist connections must be complete.

I look forward to partnering with Immanuel Lutheran during ArtPrize. The Church graciously granted me permission to use an interesting glass block wall area to display my exhibit. I chose the area on a whim while visiting the church. The glass wall caught my eye during a tour, as it is shaped like a “wave” and had the reflective qualities of water. It will serve as an excellent background to my Great Lakes images.

Click on the blueprint below to see in larger detail – the curved yellow line indicates where you’ll find my exhibit starting September 22, 2010.

The mezzanine level at SanChez Bistro – come up and enjoy 18 large canvas photography pieces and three multimedia presentations on the TV!

While the restaurant very much appreciates your patronage, I’d like to remind folks that do NOT have to be “dining” at SanChez to appreciate the 13 artists on display. It’s a venue like any other ArtPrize venue – come in and experience!

ArtPrize_TriFecta_BACK_Wt2If you’re heading down to ArtPrize and you’re trying to decide which of the multitude of artists and venues are on the “must see” list – I’m officially making a recommendation.

I’m officially endorsing Derek Maxfield and Jason Hackenwerth as ArtPrize artists you MUST go see and vote for!

Jason Hackenwerth

will be using latex balloons to make fantastic, magical sculptures, and is exhibiting at:

UICA
41 Sheldon Boulevard SE
Grand Rapids, MI 49503

In addition to his fantastic installation, Jason will be creating an army of wearable sculptures that will be on the loose all over Grand Rapids!

Derek Maxfield

The winner of numerous ice sculpting competitions – will be creating his artwork via a live exhibition, and an underwater colored ice and snow sculpture, with a main focal point being a of a stylized tiger shark swimming through its habitat.

His unique attraction will be set up in a freezer truck parked at:

Gerald R. Ford Presidential Museum
303 Pearl St. NW
Grand Rapids, MI 49504

And of course – there is my own exhibit…

Stacy Niedzwiecki

I’m exhibiting an inspirational photographic journey though some scenic locations throughout the Great Lakes State. The Michigan Moments photography series is on display at:

San Chez Bistro & Cafe
38 W Fulton
Grand Rapids, MI 49503
