Sponsored by the North American Nature Photography Association - I will be offering the keynote presentation on the first evening, and helping to lead several excursions in the Park. My outings will be around the rural Port Oneida farm areas, and South Manitou Island lighthouse (weather permitting).
I would like to invite you to experience this beautiful region and the endless inspiration it offers. You do not need to be a NANPA member to participate - but I would encourage you to consider a membership for the multitude of benefits offered for photographers.

Ray and Arlene Frodey, both nature photographers with over 75 years of combined experience, have completed that hard task of jurying this year’s show. Ninety eight entries were submitted, 45 are on display.
There is a wide variety of photographic work from digital to medium format and everywhere in between.
The photographers came from the U.P., Grand Rapids, Grand Ledge, Grand Haven, Hart, Whitehall, Montague, Pentwater, New Era, Shelby, Spring Lake, Muskegon, Grant, Fremont, Newaygo, White Cloud, Hesperia, and Holton.
Opening reception and award ceremony on May 1. The evenings activities start at 5:30 p.m. and end at 7:00 p.m. with the award ceremony at 6:00 p.m. Appetizers and refreshments will be served. Come to enjoy the exhibit, support your fellow photographers and the arts!

Over at MichiganMoments - a terrific artist from the Petoskey area has been featuring some wonderful work from around the state - Robert deJonge.
Bob was selected to serve as Artist-in-Residence at Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore , Acadia National Park and Petrified Forest National Park, and offers digital photo workshops as well.

It’s been quite some time since I’ve been able to post as I’m very involved with a number of projects, to include the recent launch of a new design for our local newspaper - the Rockford Squire.
So far, the new layout and navigation has been well-received by visitors. Some upgrades include improved search capabilities, online forms for announcements, live weather radar images, the local Rockford webcam, and the ability for advertisers to feature paid ads on the site.
