I’m excited to announce my first book – Healing Images – A Selection from the Lemmen-Holton Cancer Pavilion – is currently under production! The book is expected to be available in early February 2010.
For a limited time (through February 14, 2010) take advantage of a VERY SPECIAL PRE-SALE OFFER. Not only will you receive $5.00 off the book’s suggested retail value – but it will arrive personally signed – and shipped FREE to your doorstep!
Inside, you will also discover a unique bonus gift – a beautiful lustre-finished 5×7 photo greeting card, very suitable for framing. The greeting card will only be offered inside the pre-sale books, so consider picking up your copy in advance.
Come take a relaxing journey through some of the most beautiful locations I have ever photographed. The images featured in the book represent a portion carefully selected to be included in the permanent artwork collection of the Spectrum Health Lemmen-Holton Cancer Pavilion in Grand Rapids, Michigan. The use of artwork and photography throughout the building helps to create an environment that is therapeutic, supportive and restorative for patients and their families, as well as their caregivers.

… I was pleased to learn today my photo of the Grand Haven pier in winter was a winner in the PhotographyCorner.com 2009 Photograph of the Year Contest.
My image was the 5th Runner-Up (6th Place) in the competition. Apparently, some very cool prizes such as software and gift certificates for photo finishing and online photo storage are coming my way! How fun!

On January 21, 2010, Pure Michigan Connect – Michigan’s Travel and Tourism Blog – ran my photo montage as part of their Guest Blogger series. I’m very honored to have the chance to share my images with such a wide audience.
Many wonderful comments have been left by readers – please feel free to visit and share your thoughts as well!
My photos of the Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore area (which I set to relaxing piano music) was initially created as part of my entry for ArtPrize 2009, held in Grand Rapids.
